Pope John Paul II celebrating the Byzantine Divine Liturgy

I stumbled across this on YouTube and thought it was really amazing.  Notice that John Paul II vests as according to the Roman Rite, even when celebrating the Divine Liturgy.  Also, notice the difference in style between East and West.  The Byzantine bishops' miters resemble crowns, or even the Papal tiara.  Each bishop wears an Omphorion, which is essentially the Byzantine equivalent of the Pallium.  Likewise, the bishop wears the Sakkos, which shares an origin with our Dalmatic.  Axios!
